Phentermine Diet
Diet pills, the word every human being is seeking out for, to help them shed that fat they no longer wish for. The world is moving at such a quick pace that nobody thinks of going the slow way to weight loss, infact opting for pills that help suppress hunger and lose weight, this way.
A Phentermine Diet is very common nowadays, but it has lots of side affects which one should be very careful of, while on the pill.
This works in the brain and excites the sympathetic part of the nervous system and thus causing a hunger suppression. But studies show that with a good diet and exercising only, will the pill work faster on bodies, and can help shed 10-15% weight loss.
Pregnant women and breast feeding women are strictly not allowed to be on this pill, not even children under the age of 16.
Side affects of the pill can cause an increase of heart rate and elevated blood pressure, It may also cause dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, restlessness, and insomnia.
On the whole, be careful and have a safe diet of the pill but pregnant women and nursing mothers please avoid it at any cost!
Potty training
Once you feel your child is ready for potty training, get him a potty chair comfortable to be seated on even while doing activities like watching TV, playing games, so that he gets a little used to it.
When your child feels the need to urinate, take him to the potty chair and ask him to sit down and explain what he needs to do.
Don't force him, but instead wait a while till he is a bit free to be able to urinate or pass stools.
Till he is used to the potty, let him sit on the chair with his diapers on to demonstrate what you want him to do.
Let him go at his own pace as he needs time, and cant be compelled to use the chair at your time. Don't show anger but your encouragement will make the work get done faster ;)

Acne treatment during teenage and adult years.
Our teenagers, from the time they step into their teens, invite worries into their lives which results in a lack of interest in studies. You may want to know why, and its all due to their oily young skin which gets prone to acne quickly. They are unsure about medications and this overpowers their minds, sometimes resulting in an inferiority complex, and the fear of being the laughing stock makes them avoid communication with friends or in the public.
Adults also aren't safe from these tiny dots, infact they are more prominent when women enter the late teens or early twenties! No young adult is safe and just cleaning them with some warm water wont do! Theres far more effective ways out there.
Nowadays its the Internet world where one can get any product they desire. Just surf the good sites, choose your product and purchase it online. Here at a acne treatment site, you can get the best acne medication for any skin type, no matter what age. They categorise products by Safety Efficacy, value, quality, company and customer feedback.
Acnexus seems to be at the number one spot for acne treatment. This product exfoliates, penetrates and hydrates with one pump and quite a good choice for those having a budge. Take your pick now:)

babys milestones, development on month 1
First of all, Milestones according to me are once your baby has stepped on or accomplished a new development, though all babies are not the same and we must expect variations between all babies.
By the end of month one:
Your baby's still adjusting to the world outside its once cozy home, your womb. She needs constant love, care and warmth to build a stronger bond between a mother and child.
Physical/motor development:
If you noticed your baby's neck wasn't firm and you needed to hold her head and neck at every step of caring for her. Now your baby's neck muscles will began to get stronger and she will be able to hold her head up for few seconds or more while on her stomach, while trying to roll from side to side. While in her baby carrier, your baby may try to lift her head, provided there be some support near the portion of her neck.
She may begin to respond to familiar sounds like music, your voice which will also soothe her in times of insecurity.
She'll Begin to notice two tiny hands sicking out of her body, that's because she had no clue there were hers throughout. She may want to put her fingers into her mouth or stare at them.
Baby's sleep pattern:
She will be keeping awake more during the day and sleeping for longer hours during the night, unlike when she was a newborn. Some babies, when their nights sleep is complete.. they wake up for a two/three hours, playtime!! Visit Baby Alisha's page to learn about a very cute and naughty baby ;)
Baby's feeds:
Feeds on breast milk or formula.. feeds increase as shes growing. She should be a strictly fed on breast/formula milk for at least 3 to 6 months.. remember 'breast milk is best'
Baby's playtime and games to play:
1.While shes in the mood for a game of noddy.. like while she staring at you, nod your head from side to side across her face, she will try to track the movements while you do so.
As babies see everything in black and while, keep some more black and white contrast objects near her and she'll be busy staring away.
2.Put her hands on her head and ask her "where's the baby's hands gone?" in an attempt to show her that those hands are only hers and she will respond back by a coo or a gurgle ;)

Lullabies, songs and rhymes for you baby
Oh, i love singing to my baby Alisha and she loves it! When i sing these lines to her, i also enact the lines while singing and baby also tries to sing along. Its really so wonderful to see the one time 'tiny baby' now able to play, dance and sing! :)
Rock-a-Bye-Baby
Rock-a-bye baby, in the tree top
When the wind blows, the cradle will rock
When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall
And down will come baby, cradle and all
Hush, Little Baby
Hush, little baby, don't say a word.
Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird
And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring
And if that diamond ring turns brass,
Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass
And if that looking glass gets broke,
Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat
And if that billy goat won't pull,
Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull
And if that cart and bull fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town

Tips for choosing the right name for baby
A pregnant mother always has a working mind about shopping for essentials and clothes for baby's coming, also never forgetting the baby name. In fact the name is one of the most important requirements in a persons life. The little one will have the precious gift from mom and dad throughout his life, he'll be identified by his name while in a crowd or anywhere. As a parent, your decisions matters as the baby wont be there to name himself. I took 9 months to name my baby 'Alisha' go here BABY ALISHA to know more about her. click on the label 'baby Alisha'
Unique names
Remember that his name will make him stand out in a crowd. This can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. He will easily be recognised when he is being called. At the same time, rare and complicated names have immense potential for misunderstandings and mistaken pronunciations. Teachers and caregivers may unintentionally mangle your child's name if they have difficulty speaking it aloud.
At the same time a very common name could be frustrating for the child as he grows. It gets very frustrating for a school goer to be be called the same name as several other schoolmates at school.
A good tip is to go for a blend of rare and common names. If you have a common surname, consider giving your child a slightly unusual name to make it easier for him in school and later on, at the workplace. On the other hand, if your surname is uncommon, give your child a reasonably well known name
Numerology
Consider numerology as one of the most trendy and common ways of naming a child now a days. We see many film actors/actress's adding a letter or two into their names and they believe it helps them achieve a better life! and its works, mind you!
Traditions/Family history
Does your family have any traditions that you wish to follow, such as naming the first born male after the father or paternal grandfather? You can also look further back in your family tree to find a name. Or just choose a name from your ethnic or cultural heritage. If you have to use a family name that you really aren't happy with, then consider using it as a middle name or as just an initial.
Nicknames:
If you want a nickname for baby while the first name will be something else, try finding a name from which the nickname can be derived, from the first name itself. I nicknamed my younger sister Mandy, while her good(first) name is Amanda.
Associations and popular names
If you name your child a very popular name or names that you or someone in your family is pretty associated with, like the movie stars, barbie(dolls name) etc; maybe the name was/is in vogue, but remember the name might fade away with time. And most importantly, these associations with not create the same traits in your baby.
Lastly name your baby what you want, not what others want. You are the parents and you have rights to choose the best name you think of.
All the best for choosing the right and perfect name, for your baby. Look out for a complete list of baby names soon!
Michael Jacksons bad parenting
Troubled pop star Michael Jackson topped a poll to find the Internet Father's Day List of bad dads. He beat murderer Scott Peterson who killed his wife and unborn baby.
Commenting on naming Jackson the worst dad, the Maxim writers said, "Dangling a baby out of a Berlin hotel window! We're not sure what's crazier: Michael's unique approach to parenting, or the fact that a woman was willing to carry the children of a twice-alleged child molester."

Prepare siblings for babys home bringing
Your preparing for the new born baby and excitement knows no bounds at your home, even the other kids are excited a new baby will enter the family. But that's only till the baby arrives as once the siblings feel all the attention is towards the new baby and less for themselves, they are bound to get jealous and its quite a normal feeling. They may also become more demanding, disruptive, or aggressive and may regress in many of their behaviors, including not wanting to use the potty anymore, using baby talk or having frequent temper tantrums. Below are some tips to help prevent this sibling rivalry.
During the pregnancy months:
Teach them(the older siblings) that a baby is growing inside of you and about to come home very soon, once the tummy is showing. Involve them to prepare for baby home coming like allowing them to choose their own colors and choice while shopping for the baby's new room, cloths for baby, toys and new born needs. and this will make them feel that also have a role in the new baby's life and this will ease the transition of having a sibling at home to share your attention.
Towards delivery
To minimize the jealously that a sibling may feel towards a new baby, try to not make too many other changes in your children's routine close to the delivery. If you are going to move your child out of a crib and into a bed, into another room, or into a new day care, it would be better to do it well before the new baby is born. Your child may otherwise feel displaced by the baby and feel resentment towards him. Also, don't try and teach your child new skills, such as potty training, close to the delivery date, and expect regression of already mastered skills.
Continue to talk about the pregnancy as it progresses and prepare for your children for the delivery. Consider allowing him to visit the hospital or attend sibling classes if they are available.
While in the hospital
Call your other children frequently while you are in the hospital and if possible, allow them to visit you once the baby is born, or if that is not possible, send them a picture.
When you come home
When you finally do come home, try and have someone else carry the baby inside or at least hand him to someone else, and then spend some time with your other children. You may also consider buying a special gift that you can give to your children from the baby.
Continue to spend special time with your other children and remind visitors to pay attention to siblings and not just to the new baby and include the siblings in pictures and other activities.
The new baby's first months
Your other children may feel neglected as the new baby demands a lot of your time. You can help this by spending time alone with your other children each day, allowing them to help with simple tasks such as getting a new diaper or toy, and encouraging them to touch and play with the new baby.
You should also accept any regression in your children's behaviors and supervise all contact so that he can't harm the baby.

Sex Determination in India
In India it is against the laws to undergo a gender determination test and this is because some people find out the gender of the baby within the womb and on knowing it’s a female, either abort the child or use some other means to kill the fetus. It’s tremendously horrifying to hear these things daily, but I do read them time and time again in the news papers and on TV. Because of the lack of education and knowledge about sex in the people of rural India, often land up reproducing more and more children in the hopes of a male offspring, who could help towards income, also he would be the one to carry on the family title. A female is often unwanted as she is cast as a burden that would be dependent on her family for everything, so to avoid the responsibility of her expenditure and marriage the parents kill their female child at birth itself by throwing them away in some isolated area or drowning them. Middle class people despite being educated and aware, still try to find out the gender and either celebrate or go on a killing/abortion spree. An abortion is legal here, but an abortion is meant to terminate the fetus in critical conditions, and not meant to kill a child! This heinous crime should be stopped immediately!
Infant the gov has now put lots of laws into action to prevent this type of crime. Boards are put up at every maternity clinic, strictly mentioning that the gender determination is a crime, and punishment will be severe. If you go for an ultrasonagraphy you musn’t even ask the doctor about the gender, which I was exactly aware of and didn’t dare to know what the gender of my child, was. It didn’t even mater so much if my child was a male or female... But god blessed me with both!

Raising happy kids
Brats are not born, they’re made. Be more caring and attentive towards your kiddo right from the start, you can ensure your kiddo is happy and cheerful this way- most of the times, at least!
Don’t play their hands: kids tend to test the limits their parents set for them but
A good parent knows when to give up and when to give in.
B a role model to your kids: eating healthy yourself will ensure your kid has eating healthy habits too.
Find the Root cause of behavior: sometimes your child can behave in a peculiar manner, caused by a genuine problem. Punishment is not always the solution. If you find your child hesitating to go to school, check out if there’s a problem the kids trying to escape from eg: homework not done etc
Praise good behavior: don’t take their goodness for granted. Make it seem noticed by you instead because parenting approval is so necessary for kids.
Find practical solutions to problems: hide away snacks for kids that crave trash! Child lock the TV, hide the remote and change computer passwords, to deal with cough potatoes and net surfers.
Earning good times is encouraging: strike a fair bargain with them, if they tidied their room or put back the clothes, let them have 15 mins more of caroms.
Be a friend: a young ones world is full of anxieties than one can imagine. Talk out their
Worries and this gives them an outlet and helps them gain a more receptive frame of mind.

Signs of labour
Any sign of labour before 36 weeks shouldn't be taken lightly, contact your doctor right away! contractions and rupture of membranes are the signs of labour, which occur when the muscles of the uterus tighten and relax as the uterus prepares for delivery.
False Labor Contractions and what you should do:
You will feel a tightening in the abdomen that comes and goes. But these type of contractions don't get closer. Don't increase while walking and don't increase with time. They are not strong like when in labour. Just try to relax yourself to some warm milk and if you experience much more than just a light contraction, don't hesitate to call your doctor.
True Labor Contractions and what to do:
This type of contraction will occur at regular times and last 30-60 seconds. Contractions get closer together and more painful every 15 minutes. May be felt in the lower back and lower abdomen. Continue or increase with walking. Don't waste time, call your doctor or get ready to go to the hospital for the birth.
What you should do, if you think labours on the way:
Rest on your left side. Don't eat heavy food, light food is advised. Time your contractions. note: every women is different and each one can have a difference in time. Call your doctor, clinic or hospital when contractions are 5 minutes apart for 2 hours for the first pregnancy, 5 minutes apart for 1 hours apart, for others. You might be at home or in the hospital, where someone can monitor you. Always call your doctor if you have any doubts.
Rupture of Membranes Rupture of membranes, called water break, is the trickle or gush of fluid from the vagina after the bag of fluid around the baby breaks. The fluid is often clear, but it may be white or green. The bag of water can break at any time. It may break before you feel any contractions and may leak during a contraction.
What to do : If you think your water has broken, call your doctor and go to the hospital. Do not take a bath or put anything into your vagina. You may wear a pad. Again, Talk to your doctor or nurse if you have any questions or concerns.

Tips to stop a baby from crying
You've tried everything possible, rocking, cuddling, singing, walking but nothing seems to interest your baby. Now what? you are already so tired and frustrated, you could yell your lungs out! But hey wait.. Babies tend to get moody and bored just like adults! They need that constant attention/checking or something to divert their minds..
Always keep in mind these tips below
Isn't it normal for babies to cry?
Of course it is normal. They also need to say something, don't they? Its their way of communication, they need you to understand them but sometimes parents don't understand their babies needs, and things get worse.
He may need you to check his basic needs
He maybe hungry so try giving him a feed. That dint work then he could of messed his diapers, check that out from time to time as babies hate being soiled and wet. He could have been overfed, burp him. Put him on your lap or shoulder and slightly rub his tender back. There could be the possibility of illness.. call your doctor for advice.
Try something different to divert baby's mind
Go out in your garden and point out to the birds, trees and anything that attracts his attention. Imitate the sounds of the birds and other animals for him, while making faces. Put on your TV(any kids channel), some amusing music, you hairdryer or the vacuum would work the best. Let him hear the noises and he'll start to wonder what on earth is that?
Leave him alone for a while once you checked on all his basic needs
Sometimes babies need times for themselves, they need to discover their own world. Leave baby cushioned alone in a safe place and attend to the chores near him. Maybe he'll cry for a while and stop but don't forget to keep checking him every five minutes.
Baby should be amused by now.. you've done everything possible to quieten him and you deserve his laughs. Why not play peekaboo with him?? My baby loves this game:)

Tips on getting baby to sleep throughout the night
New born babies sleep for about 6 hours during the night but without any fixed pattern of sleep.. toward the end of the first year, the baby can sleep for a maximum of about 10 to 12 hours. Though you cant do anything to control a new born's pattern of sleep, you can regulate and teach him to sleep throughout the night continuously, as he grows.
Give your baby a toy as a security:
This toy can act as a security for baby when mums not around. Make the toy mum scented by keeping it near you for sometime. Give your baby this favourite blanket or stuffed toy during sleep so that the smell of mum on the toy can reassure baby that mums near him when he awakes up in a start during sleep.
Teach him to differ day from night:
Give him his last feed/meal for the night at a certain time daily and when ready for sleep switch off the lights. Start to create bedtime routines at night.. reading, taking a warm bath, changing into pyjamas, singing, rocking and darkening the room. During the day there wont too much of darkness which will help him distinguish day from night.
Day time meals should be different from night:
When baby awakes for feeds during the night, don't talk or sing a lot, try to keep the quiet and sleepy atmosphere. Don't even switch on the lights unless he has messed up himself so that baby gets aware that it isn't playtime. Make day time feeds more lively and treat as opportunities to coo, sing, talk to, and interact with your baby.
Older babies should fall of to sleep on their own:
As your baby grows he will fall off to sleep during feeds, play time, singing or cooing while in your arms but gradually as you see him drowsy, but yet not asleep put him down while still continuing to love him, he will associate falling asleep with these emotions and will fall to sleep on his own.
Continue to put your baby down sleepy, but awake, and soon he'll get the hang of it.

10 Essential Nutrition tips for babies
Every mother wants her baby enjoy his food and eat well. family meals are a good idea but you got to take care to understand the needs of your inncocent baby as babies are keen on being involved with anything around them, even the family meal.
Here some of the best tips i can offer:
Breast milk is the perfect food for a baby, it contains all the nutrition your baby needs for the six months, with the added bonus of antibodies and other properties important to baby’s health and development.Health authorities recommend that you breastfeed your baby for at least six months if possible.
Infant formula is the only suitable alternative to breastmilk. It is modified to meet baby’s needs and must always be mixed according to the directions on the container.
Babies don’t need to start on other foods until they are ready which is normally around the age of six months. The ideal first food is a baby cereal mixed with baby’s regular milk, followed by fruit and vegetable purees introduced one at a time. In the beginning baby needs to be offered his regular milk (breast or formula) before he is offered solids.
Introduce lumpy foods after three to five weeks of pureed food.Gradually make it more and more lumpy because this will help baby learn to chew even if she has no teeth. Add finger foods to baby’s diet around about eight months.By the time baby reaches her first birthday she should be eating regular family food with some modifications.Ready made baby food in cans, jars or frozen is ideal as an occasional meal but is not suitable for everyday use.
Keep meal times relaxed, offer baby a variety of healthy choices and never force him to ‘eat up’.If he is hungry you can always offer him more.
Babies don’t need sugary foods, salty, fatty foods or fast foods.Low fat foods are also not acceptable, baby needs nutritious choices.
Soft drinks are not suitable for babies or toddlers.Milk and water are all baby needs with occasional juice drinks, watered down 50/50.At meal times baby should be offered water to drink.
Iron and calcium are important nutrients in a baby’s diet.Iron can be found in breast milk, lean meat, chicken, eggs, fish, legumes, fortified baby cereals, wholegrain cereals, dried fruits and dark green leafy vegetables.Calcium is found in breast milk and infant formula, dairy products, calcium fortified soy products, tinned sardines and salmon.
Learn to read the labels on food you buy in the supermarket.Ingredients are listed in order with the greatest quantity first. If you find ingredients you would not normally put into your baby’s meal then don’t buy the product.
Be careful when you prepare the family’s food.Always wash your hands before handling food and keep raw and cooked foods separate.

Prepare a Frying Pan with either pats of butter or non-stick spray.
1 Slice of Bread, 1 Egg, 1/4 c Milk, Small slice of cheese
Take the bread slice and cut out 2 circles for eyes and a longer curved hole for a mouth below the "eyes". Butter one side of bread and lay in warmed frying pan, butter side down.
As bread begins to fry, Scramble egg and milk together (OR you may simply crack a whole egg over the bread in the pan without adding milk or scrambling).
Pour scrambled egg over the bread. Flip bread/egg when the egg showing thru the "eyes" and "mouth" becomes firm.
Fry for another 5-10 minutes depending on your cook top temperature.
Prior to taking out of pan, place a strip of cheese over the "eyes" and let melt to give your toasted egg smile some "hair"
helping dads to bond with babies/kids
Often it was the dad who missed out fun times with theirs kids but now a days dads are more reluctant to spend more and more times with them. They are realizing the importance of interacting and bonding with their kids.be it a child's nursery event or a soccer game, they are rushing to be with their kids on the special days.
It was in the past that excited fathers waited anxiously for the birth of their children but dint have much to do except attending classes with the pregnant mother or getting ready the babys nursery. They hardly involved themselves with the baby excpet whern the child was old enough to interact with them.It was entirely up to the mother to care for the baby but days are changing and fathers are more than ready to help out with caring for baby, changing dipers, helping the new mom to bath baby and just ready to do anything for the new born who just stares away at the anxious and excited dad.
Some quick tips for early bonding include:
Changing diapers and clothes - have fun with it and talk to your baby as you are doing it! Hearing your voice and laughter will help with bring you and your baby closer.
Playing with your baby. I like playing peek-a-boo with my new son. You would think he would get tired of it, but he would love it if I do it all day!
Get involved in the feeding process, you may need to wait a bit if your wife is breastfeeding though
Even young babies like to hear your voice, if you don’t like singing songs (’rock-a-by’ ‘hush-little-baby’ etc), reading short stories are another idea.
As they start becoming older start to open up and develop your ‘inner child’ around him or her and be involved in thier play and learning

home made recipes for baby between 6 to 9 months
It's time to get creative! Your 6 to 9 month baby will be eager to try new foods now, and may even start to chew. Learn how to create meals that will please his tiny palate!
Fruith recipe:
Fruit baby food recipes - Sugar Free Applesauce
4-5 medium apples, peeled and cored - use naturally sweet varieties, such as:
Gala
Golden or Red Delicious
Fuji
Pink Lady
Red Rome
pinch nutmeg or cinnamon
water
Chop the apples roughly and place in a saucepan.
Pour in about one inch of water - (you could use apple juice instead, but this will contain sugar).
Bring the apples to a boil, then reduce the heat.
Cover and simmer slowly until the apple chunks are tender (about 10-15 mins).
DON'T cook the apples to the point where the mixture actually looks like applesauce! Cooking it this long will cause it to be watery and tasteless.
Instead, remove the apple chunks from the pan and either puree them or mash them well. Thin with a little cooking water if necessary.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg and serve warm or - as a soothing treat for teething babies - nice and cold.
TIP: If you are going to freeze your baby's applesauce, DON'T add the spices before you freeze it, because they will lose their flavour.
And avoid applesauce altogether is your baby is constipated or prone to constipation, because it is very binding and will make the problem worse
Fruit baby food recipes - Banana Surprise
1 small ripe banana
2 large, ripe strawberries
a little breastmilk / formula
NOTE: Strawberries sometimes trigger allergic reactions in babies and you may prefer to avoid them for the first year, particularly if your baby is sensitive, or if there is a family history of food allergy.
Puree the strawberries.
Mash the banana with a fork, mixing in enough breastmilk / formula to achieve a creamy consistency.
Place in a bowl, then top with the pureed strawberries.
Serve immediately - bananas brown very quickly.
The sweetness of the banana blends well with the stronger flavour of the strawberries.

4oz cottage cheese
2oz cooked peas
3oz cream cheese
1oz finely grated mild cheddar

Mix the cottage cheese, cream cheese, cheddar and milk together until well blended.
Stir in the hot, cooked vegetables.
Finish off with a little sprinkle of parmesan cheese
Vegetables / Vegetarian Baby Food Recipes - Wholesome Twice Baked Potatoes
1 large baking potato (I prefer to use red skinned potatoes - they have a creamier texture)
1oz butter
2 fl oz milk
3oz grated mild cheddar
1/2 tsp finely chopped fresh chives
Wash the potato, prick with a fork, then bake at 350 deg F, 180 deg C for about 1 1/2 hours, until the potato feels soft.
Remove from the oven and cut in half.
Scoop out the potato and place in a bowl, along with the milk, butter and most of the cheese.
Mash well.
Return the potato mixture to the skins, place on a cooking sheet and top with the remaining cheese.
Return to the oven and cook for a further 10-15 minutes, until the cheese has melted and is golden in colour.
Sprinkle with the chives.
pregnancy dos and donts
There are plenty of restrictions for pregnant women. dont do this, dont do that, eat this, not that!! below is a handy list of the do's and dont's to help you have a healthy and safe journey towards motherhood.
Pregnancy Dos
Make sure to eat all the vitamins and minerals prescribed your doctor, everyday. Iron is important during your pregnancy but sometimes you don't get the necessary amount you need from the foods you eat, so consult your doctor if you should be taking a daily multivitamin or a prenatal vitamin. Also find out how to get your your daily dose of folic acid and other medicines from your doctor.
Eating a healthy diet is so much important. Include a diet of fruits and vegetables with your daily meals. calcium-rich foods (such as non-fat or low-fat yogurt, milk, and broccoli) should be also eaten by you because not only you, but your baby needs it for strong bones and teeth. Avoid eating fatty foods. Choose leaner foods instead such as skim milk, chicken and turkey without the skin, and fish
Focus on your weight gain too. Try to gain a healthy weight, not an excessive weight gain. If you are underweight ask your doctor how much should weight you should gain. If you are overweight do not diet by any chance, just avoid consuming fatty foods!
Try to sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours a night. Sleep deprivation is common for a pregnant women due to the aches, nausea feeling and frequent bathroom visits. Avoid long naps in the afternoons and eat large meals at least three hours before getting into bed. Sleep on your side and use pillows between your legs and under your belly to help you get comfortable.
Take time out to d-stress. Do things that please you and avoid those that give you stress. Your family will surely co-operate with you as they know what you are going through during the pregnancy.
Exercising, swimming, walking are some regular activities important for fitness. low-impact exercises are fine for pregnant women but check up with your doctor before you begin any activity.
Wear your seat-belt correctly. Seat belts used correctly protect you and your unborn baby during a crash. The American Academy of Family Physicians recommends that pregnant women use seat belts that have a lap belt and a shoulder strap (3-point restraint). Seat belt straps should never go across your belly. The lap strap should go under the belly, across the hips. The shoulder strap should go off to the side of your belly and between your breasts. If you are not driving, the back seat is the safest place to sit.
Pregnancy Don'ts
Don't eat fish with lots of mercury.
Don't use chemical products including herbicides, pesticides, paint, stains etc as these can be harmful to your baby.
Don't clean or change a cat's litter box. This could put you at risk for an infection called toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasmosis is caused by a parasite that cats can carry in their feces and can harm a fetus.
Don't take very hot baths as high temperatures can be harmful to the fetus, or cause you to faint.
Don't smoke tobacco. If you do, quitting is hard, but you can do it. Smoking during pregnancy passes nicotine and cancer-causing drugs to your baby. Smoke also keeps your baby from getting needed nourishment and raises the risk of stillbirth and premature birth (a small baby born too early).
Don't use drugs and drink alcohol, even if you are addicted to it. you know why? its harmful! You love your tiny baby inside your womb and will do anything to keep your baby's growth healthy and safe. All the best for your delivery!

Tub Bathing new born baby
Being a new parent, its so exciting especially when its time to start bathing baby. Sometimes theres confusion from where to begin and how to get things prepared. Its your first time and you could be slighty nervous but you don't need to worry, come ill guide you!
Handling a soapy and slippery baby can be a task at times, but just hold on tightly and firmly and as you keep talking and maintaining eye contact with baby, soon bathing time will be enjoyable for you and your baby. This is wonderful time for bonding with your baby, playing with the baby and of course hygiene.. as the touch of your hand and your so familiar voice will help baby get reassurance that baby is connected with you.
You don't need to give new Born's a bath daily unless you want to do it for the pleasure and to spend time with him.. except when you may want to wash off the dirty mucky areas so baby can stay clean. Summer months are hot and humidity levels are high, so bathing in lukewarm water may help cool him down and relieve him from the sweaty atmosphere.Avoid the use cold of water and use lukewarm water instead to bathe your baby, even in summer.
DONT use soaps meant for adults, but only mild baby soaps, as the harsh soaps could damage the tender skin of baby. The same goes for shampoos.. If you have no idea, consult your doctor or elders for advice.
Tub bathing and a proper bath
Before you start bathing baby in tub, get all the necessary accessories that you need like a tub, water(warm and cold to adjust), a small soft baby towel, baby soap, baby shampoo, a baby comb, cotton wool, baby powder or lotion, a fresh set of diapers and clothes. Make sure that the room is warm, put off all sorts of noises, music and your cell phone. There should be no disturbance while bathing baby, not even the door bell.
How to give baby a bath
First thing you do is to Wash your hands. Gather all the necessary bath accessories near you, but away from baby's reach.
The bath water should be comfortably warm(not hot). Adjust with cool water if you need to.
For newborns, fill the bath tub with about five inches of water, or enough to allow your baby to settle in the water with his shoulders well covered.
Undress baby near the bath area and slip his feet into the water first, using one hand to support his neck and head.
As you soap baby, use the same hand or a wash cloth or sponge to wash of the areas with water. Wash his scalp with a wet, soapy cloth. You can use moistened cotton wool to clean off the dried mucus in the corners of your baby's nostrils or eyes, dab it several times with a small section to soften it before you wipe it out.
Now rinse your baby thoroughly with a clean wash cloth or use your cupped hand to pour water on his body, only from below the neck. Use a wet cloth to wash baby's face but don't pour water directly.
After you have cleaned and washing him thoroughly, lift him out of the bath gently but firmly with one hand supporting his neck and head. Use the other hand to support his bottom.
Wrap your baby in a towel and pat him dry and then apply a mild moisturising lotion baby's dry skin areas(only if you need to). Check with your doctor before using any lotions.
Dab on some talcum powder on baby's body but make sure the areas are towel dried well. Gently dab near his face to avoid the powder from getting into contact with his mouth and eyes.
After you have powdered baby, dress him immediately into his diapers and clothes. Then cuddle him gently in your arms and talk and sing to him while you give him a feed and your baby will fall off to a sound slumber. Lay him down in a safe and warm place.
Early symptoms of prengancy and understanding them.
Pregnancy symptoms differ from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy.A missed menstrual cycle is one of the symptoms most of us have an idea about.. you got to understand the importance of each symptom as each one is somewhat related to the other. Some women experience signs or symptoms of pregnancy within a week of conception.. some dont even have an idea they've already concieved because pregnancy symptoms may develop over a few week for some women and in some, symptoms not be present at all.Ive put together some of the most common pregnancy signs/symptoms. Before that, if you have been sexually active and experiencing any of the following symptoms it is important to take a pregnancy test.. and dont panic for nothing:)
Spotting/Bleeding:
This type of bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms.. This is because about six to 12 days, the process of the embryo implanting itself into the uterine wall begins and causes a little spotting in some wommen while some experince bleeding.
Delay/difference in your mensturation cycle:
The most common pregnancy symptom is a delayed or missed menstruation which leads a woman to an immediate test for pregnancy and if you are confirmed pregnant, then you will miss your next mensturation for sure.sometimes women bleed while they are pregnant, but this kind of bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period but you must always check up with your doctor.
Swollen/Tender Breasts:
One to two weeks after conception, the swelling and tenderness of breasts is another common symptom. These symptoms are normal and are caused due to hormonal changes in the body.
Fatigue/Tiredness:
This is one of the earliest pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.
Nausea/Morning Sickness:
This is commeon pregnancy symptom which shows up 2-3 weeks since conception in some women and will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy, while others are fortunate enough to miss out on this symptom from beginning right till the end of their pregnancy.
Backaches:
Lower backaches are another commeon symptom that occurs early in pregnancy and can increase with the pregnancy and this is because the back curves more to balance the increasing weight of the uterus.
Headaches:
The sudden rise of hormones along with an increase in the blood volume circulating throughout your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.
Frequent Urination:
The need to urinate frequently arises two to three weeks from conception due to the pressure on your bladder from your growing uterus.
Darkening of Areolas:
If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker and is just another normal symptom, you dont have to worry about.
Food Cravings:
A strong desire to feast on foods you dont even smell in normal times, tends to overpower you. This could be due to the extreme hormonal changes in a body during pregnancy that can have a powerful impact on taste and smell.
